I am the husband of one and the homeschooling father of five. I am a singer, songwriter, and a worship leader who plays guitar and piano. I am the Executive Director of Trinity Arts Center, a small Christian Arts Academy in Eastern Tennessee. I'm also a guitar teacher and -- I spend about half my time building web sites and helping companies organize their thoughts, fine tune their products, and turn their customers into company evangelists. I've been involved with four music projects in my life -- Hot Pink Turtle, Spin Radio, Stand Like Stone, and of course, Jamin Rathbun. I'm also training to be an Ultimate Fighter (that's not true). = )
"What is the Fred Factor?" you ask.
It's all about having a positive impact on the world (people) around you or, as it was taught to me -- leave a place better than when you came. That can mean opening the door for someone, or encouraging a co-worker, or teaching Sunday School, or picking up the paper towel in the public bathroom, or stopping to help the woman on the side of the road fix her flat tire. It's about being a "Fred" to everyone you touch in life. Reminds me of one a couple passages in Titus:
Titus 2:7-8
In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
Titus 3:8
I want you to stress these things, so that those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

"...the book introduces us to real people making a difference in the world. I urge you to do something special for others and yourself - incorporate the Fred Factor in your life."
John C. Maxwell, Author of The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership.
