I am the husband of one and the homeschooling father of five. I am a singer, songwriter, and a worship leader who plays guitar and piano. I am the Executive Director of Trinity Arts Center, a small Christian Arts Academy in Eastern Tennessee. It's a good observation about a tendency to wrap our teaching up with a simple, easy-to-digest, moral, preferrably with some kind of acrostic memory aide. = ) Casey reminds us how Jesus taught... Not with interesting plot twists and detailed explanation -- but with crude and unpoetic analogy, leaving the "hidden" message to be discovered by the listener.
I'm tempted to expound with my thoughts on the article but -- in the spirit of "ugly preaching", I'll just let you come to your own conclusion. = )
