Jesus said...
"I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." (John 6:35) "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life." (John 8:12) "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture." (John 10:9) "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep." (John 10:11) "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies." (John 11:25) "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.
Revelation 22:17
The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

Call on Jesus.
music
I posted this song back in January but -- it fit today's passage so well, I had to post it again. Hopefully it'll be new to some of you. = )
Notes: This is essentially a musical "alter call" that I took from Revelation 22:17. Initially, I had intended for this to be part of my new worship material but -- I'm not sure how sing-along-able it is. Regardless, I like this one quite a bit, especially the simple piano melody at the end.
Lyrics: The Spirit and the Bride say come. Let him who hears say come. Let he who is thirsty, let him come. And whoever wishes, let him take the water of life. Jesus, come and rain upon our land. Israel, come home. Jesus, come and reign here in our hearts. Israel, come home.

M. Night Shyamalan
is publishing his first children's book called, "Lady In The Water".

I'm sure most of you are familiar with M. Night through his work on The Sixth Sense, Signs, and Unbreakable (all great movies). I love that the characters in his films each have a very specific role to play in the big picture that is happening above, beyond, and all around them. There are no small roles. There are no small things. Everything has meaning and it all works together, for good, in the end. I kind of like that. = )
Here's are a few excerpts from the book:
"There are ways to know if they are in your back yard. If the sprinklers go off by mistake, you should take notice. It might mean something. And if you find the water in your swimming pool is a little bit slimy. It definitely means something."
"There was someone living under your pool. She is called a Narf. She is a very rare type of sea nymph. She made a room under your pool after the pool was made. She lives in this room for a short time. She stays there during the day time. She is swimming in the pool to be seen by someone in your house. That is her purpose. It could be your brother, your sister, one of your parents, or even someone staying at your house for a little while. They will see her only for a moment. They will look back and she will be under the water. They will think they imagined it... A woman swimming in the dark, in the pool."
"These people are called vessels and they will suddenly feel different. Everything they think will become very clear. If they were scared before, they won't be scared. If they were shy before, they won't be shy. And here's the best part. Sometime in their life -- it could be soon, it could be many years from now when they are older -- they will do something important for the world."

He had me at Narf. = )
Anyway... Amazon.com is running a big promotion with M. Night reading a few excerpts on video. If you're a fan (and if you have kids) -- It might be worth a peek.
P.S. (Added on 9/12/06) I just remembered to come back and give an update on this... I hate to say it but M. Knight's preview reading of this book is much better than the actual book. = (
