I am the husband of one and the homeschooling father of five. I am a singer, songwriter, and a worship leader who plays guitar and piano. I am the Executive Director of Trinity Arts Center, a small Christian Arts Academy in Eastern Tennessee. I'm also a guitar teacher and -- I spend about half my time building web sites and helping companies organize their thoughts, fine tune their products, and turn their customers into company evangelists. I've been involved with four music projects in my life -- Hot Pink Turtle, Spin Radio, Stand Like Stone, and of course, Jamin Rathbun. I'm also training to be an Ultimate Fighter (that's not true). = )
So, after my post on Monday, I thought I'd follow up with a little something for the ladies (or is it actually for the men). = ) Regardless, I guarantee that if you talk about your man like this woman talks about her man... He'll do anything for you.
Song of Solomon 5:10-16
My lover is radiant and ruddy, outstanding among ten thousand. His head is purest gold; his hair is wavy and black as a raven. His eyes are like doves by the water streams, washed in milk, mounted like jewels. His cheeks are like beds of spice yielding perfume. His lips are like lilies dripping with myrrh. His arms are rods of gold set with chrysolite. His body is like polished ivory decorated with sapphires. His legs are pillars of marble set on bases of pure gold. His appearance is like Lebanon, choice as its cedars. His mouth is sweetness itself; he is altogether lovely. This is my lover, this my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem.

Contrast that with another example from Proverbs...
Proverbs 19:13
A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.
A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping.
That reminds me of a quote I read recently. It's nothing new but, as a man, it really resonated with me. If you're a woman, maybe it'll remind you that you have more options. If you're a guy, maybe ask your wife to take a peek. Could be that she'll return that massage you gave her the other day. = )
A woman is at her best when she's being a woman. She can badger her husband... Or she can use all she is as a woman to get him to use all he's got as a man. She can arouse, inspire, energize, and seduce him. Ask your man what he'd prefer.
Do you really need to ask. = )
Trombone Player At Heart
I thought I'd follow up with one additional quote from "Wild At Heart" since I've mentioned it two times in as many days.
I thought I'd follow up with one additional quote from "Wild At Heart" since I've mentioned it two times in as many days.
"Don't ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go and do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive."
Do what you love. Do what God created you to do. Do what makes you feel strong. Life's too short to do anything else. You might check this out for some inspiration on how to make that work (it's the trombone post).
