Sorry I haven't been posting daily the last couple weeks. We've started up our fall semester at church so I'm back in the worship saddle after our Summer break (and loving it, I might add). = ) In addition, things at the Arts Center have really been taking off so that, plus a couple projects I'mworking on, are keeping me pretty busy.
With that said, I expect that I'll only be posting two or three times a week for the next bit. As a small consolation, I'm planning on posting some new music very soon... Hopefully that makes it up to you. = )
1 Chronicles 29:11
Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all.
Psalms 8:1
O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.
Psalms 57:5
Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.

Filled With Your Glory
I've mentioned a couple Starfield songs earlier this year but I hadn't really gone back and listend to their "old" stuff until tonight.
I've mentioned a couple Starfield songs earlier this year but I hadn't really gone back and listend to their "old" stuff until tonight.
There are several good songs on the Starfield self titled CD but there is one song you just shouldn't miss -- Filled With Your Glory. It's an awesome song with a great hook, a great lyric, and great energy -- just the thing if your church or youth group does guitar led contemporary worship. I've included the chorus lyric below... You'll just have to check it out to hear it in context.
The whole earth is filled with your glory Lord. Angels and men adore. Creation longs for what's in store. May you be honored and glorified, exalted and lifted high. Here at your feet I lay my life.
Good stuff. = )

ClickDragType 3
They just released five new additions to the very popular Click Drag Type puzzle game series. The first 10 were very cool. I'm hoping the new ones deliver more of the same.
They just released five new additions to the very popular Click Drag Type puzzle game series. The first 10 were very cool. I'm hoping the new ones deliver more of the same.
As with the old ClickDragType series, this update consists of five interactive puzzles that must be solved in order to complete the level (by the way, the new ones are in the right column). As the name implies, you have to click things, drag things, and type thing in order to solve each puzzle. I haven't posted solutions like I did last time but I might try to get around to it this weekend if I can set aside a few minutes to play through them all.
Update on 9/18/06: I had time to solve a couple of the ClickDragType 3 puzzles so... I thought I'd provide solutions, cheats, hints, or whatever you want to call them. I won't say anything about how lame it is to cheat. = )
Puzzle 11 - Colors, Grids, and ABC's
Move your mouse over the letters that are grouped into fours on each side of the board. You will be shown a pattern which matches on of the square on the larger grid covered with a pattern of colored circles. Once you have matched the revealed pattern with its associated grid square -- click it. This will leave a "hole" in the grid of squares. Continue to do this for all four letters until four "holes" have been created. Next, you will need to find a pattern on the large letter board that matches the holes you just created in the smaller grid. For example, if you punched out the top-left square to match the first D in the top foursome of letters and the punched out the third square down in the second column to match the C in the top foursome -- you will need to find a D and C on the big board that will line up with the same holes. Once you've done this for all four letters, and moved the hole-punched grid to overlay the correct letters on the big board, you will know what colors each of those original letters should be associated with. This allows you to click on each of the yellow squares (also grouped into a foursome) until they match the color of the letter in the same position. Once you've done the horizontal letters, repeat the process for the vertical. Voila!
Puzzle 12 - Numbers, Rods, and Light Bulbs
First, figure out which number is missing form the squares in the top-right side of the screen. That is the number we are trying to create with the simulated LED section of the puzzle (just below the numbered squares). To create this number, we must connect the appropriate port on each side of the puzzle to the matching port on the opposite side. There are two primary things to know in order to solve this puzzle. The up and down arrows raise and lower the small black pegs that will "catch" the rods that connect the two sides. The left and right arrow "drops" the rod from the top of the puzzle, onto the pegs below. The white "rulers" on each side of the puzzle control the length of the rod that will drop into place. Dragging the top of this ruler will adjust this length. Once you have figured out how long the rod needs to be (see the next section) you will need to adjust the height accordingly. If you discover that the bottom-left port matches the fifth port down on the right -- you will need to lengthen the rod on the left side side to the fourth line in order to span the gap between the two posts correctly and fall into place. The ruler will always need to be adjusted to match the difference between the ports on the two sides. If they ports are two places aparts, the ruler will need to be lenthened two lines above the first (base) line. If the ports are five place apart, the ruler will be lengthened to the sixth line, etc. To discover which ports "match" you will need to drag the small probes attached to the light bulb at the top of the puzzle. The easiest way to do this is to start at the bottom. Connect the probe to the bottom-left port and then drag the probe on the right across all of the ports until the light bulb lights up. Next, you will need to align the small black pegs to match the correct ports. Once those are in place, you will need to adjust the height of the ruler to match the difference between the two. (You should always adjust the ruler and drop the rod from the lower of the two sides.) Once the pegs are in place and the ruler has been sized, you will click the left or right arrow (whichever side is appropriate) to drop the rod into place. Once the rod is in place, one segment of the LED will light green. You will need to repeat this process for all of the ports until you have activated the LED segments necessary to match the number you discovered in the first step. Yay!
Puzzle 13 - Magnets, Wheels, and Gradients
For this puzzle, the first thing to discover is what each piece is designed to do. You'll notice three "wheels" that can be turned by clicking and dragging them in a circular motion. This creates three different results, depending on which wheel is turned. For the yellow wheel, the attached arm raises and lowers. For the blue wheel, the arm extends and retracts. For the red wheel, you will generate power that is monitored using the small red needle and gauge. There is also a small switch attached to the wires at the bottom of the screen that opens and closes the electrical circuit, controlling a magnet in the mechanical arm above. The goal of the puzzle is to stack the boxes so that their gradiated colors line up in a series of matched sides (blue to blue, red to red, etc). This is accomplished by "charging" the circuit (using the red wheel), closing the circuit to activate the magnet (using the handle), extending the arm to "grab" the desired box, retracting the arm to pull the box out of the stack, raising the arm to re-stack the box, extending the arm to position the held box at the top of the stack, and finally shutting off the power using the switch again. This process will need to be continued until all of the gradients line up correctly. Woo-hoo!
Puzzle 14 - Arrows From Hell
I hate to say it but I haven't figured this one out yet. I get that the icon in the top-right indicates an order for each set of arrows. I also get that you can draw arrows in each of the 16 empty squares in the grid. In addition, you can click on each group of arrows to set a "ghost" set of arrows in motion across the grid. You can also "draw" anywhere on the screen to move the selected (blue) square to another location on the grid. I spent about 20 minutes drawing arrows on the grid based on a variety of theories but -- wasn't able to do anything other than make a few of them blink for no apparent reason. I have read about some bugs with this puzzle so, I'm beginning to wonder if there's a bug that is causing some confusion. The other puzzles seemed pretty straight forward so I'm a bit suspicious that this one has me stumped. Anyway... If you figure something out, let me know. = )
Puzzle 15 - Linear Circle Tag
The goal of this puzzle is to "drive" the larger round object around the board in such a way as to touch each of the colored circles in the correct order. The order is determined by the color of the largest circle (not the red and blue rectangles on top of it but the circle underneath). This means that your first target should be the green circle. To "drive" the object, you will need to "draw" rectangles in the areas to the left and right side of the sceen. Clicking in these areas creates a colored area with a bold black line on the inside edge. These colored shapes indicate which direction and for what duration the object should turn and travel. Red areas (on the left side) indicate a left turn. Blue areas (on the right side) indicate a left turn. Long areas a long turn. Short areas a quick turn. Wide areas a sharp turn. Narrow areas a soft turn. You'll need to draw a sequence of shapes that will "steer" the object around the puzzle to touch each circle in sequence. Hooray!
