Who is this Jamin guy anyway?
I am the husband of one and the father of nine. I was created to sing, to worship, to encourage, and to be steady. I am the Owner & Executive Director of Trinity Arts Center, a multi-disciplinary Arts Center in Eastern Tennessee, and the President of Trinity Arts Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization focused on funding arts education and performance. I've been involved with four music projects in my life -- Hot Pink Turtle, Spin Radio, Stand Like Stone, and of course, Jamin Rathbun.

In 2013, I added my Twitter feed to this site (below). To view the old content, just scroll down past the Twitter timeline. To keep in the loop on new posts, thoughts, and updates, just follow me on Twitter using the button below. Thanks!

Romans 10:8-10
The word is near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming, that if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.

Jesus is Lord and God has raised Him from the dead.

Philippians 2:9-11
Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Amen and Amen.

Everyone is an expert on something.
Some of you may have noticed the addition to this month's side bar -- a new twist on the search engine called Squidoo.

Squidoo is still very new so it's not ready to compete with the big boys like Google and Yahoo. However, the idea of how it works could be pretty revolutionary. The premise is that everyone is an expert on something and -- if they would assemble their expertise, experience, and resources into an easily accessible single page (called a lens)... The world might be a better place.

Most lenses include links to other places on the web that contain good information but -- they can also contain links to rss feeds, videos, photos, banners, product links, google ads, and just about anything a regular web page could contain. The difference is (theoretically) that this single page contains a pre-filtered lens of the information that is available online about any given topic. Someone passionate about the subject has taken the time to weed through the web and assemble only the stuff that they deemed useful, delivering us, the user, a consolidated list of "pre-qualified" information without having to wade through 1,245,607 sites that a computer algorithm determined included a match to our search query.

The company is the brainchild of famed marketing forehead, Seth Godin and fellow Web 2.0er, Heath Row. It also includes a pretty ground-breaking profit sharing plan that distributes half of the companies earning to the lensmasters (or their selected charity)... Pretty cool.

Anyway... Check out my lens on worship for a sample of what it can be. Then jump in and contribute by creating your own little part of the squid. = )
